Gurkhas - Awards, Medals and Commendations in the Birthday Honours List 2024

As part of The King’s Birthday Honours List 2024, a number of Brigade of Gurkhas personnel were awarded various Awards, Meritorious Service Medals, and various commendations.

  • Appointment to the Military division of The Most Honourable Order of The Bath As Knight Commander (KCB) – Lieutenant General Richard Wardlaw OBE (Colonel Commandant Brigade of Gurkhas).
  • Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) – Major Ranjanjumar Dadgami (The Royal Gurkha Rifles).
  • Meritorious Service Medal (MSM)- Captain Raj Rai (The Royal Gurkha Rifles).
  • Meritorious Service Medal (MSM)- Warrant Officer Class One Dikbahadur Tumkhewa Limbu (The Royal Gurkha Rifles).
  • Commander Home Command Commendation – Captain C Limbu (Gurkha Staff and Personnel Support).
  • King’s Commendation for Valuable Service (KCVS) – Lieutenant Colonel Shane Stephen Burton (The Royal Gurkha Rifles).
