The First Battalion, The Royal Gurkha Rifles (1 RGR) are the British Army Operational Shooting Competition Champions 2022. After months of intense training, 1 RGR just beat The Second Battalion, The Royal Gurha Rifles to the title at Bisley where the competition takes place annually.
A special mention also to Sergeant Dhan, who won The Queen’s Medal and stakes his claim as the best shot in the British Army. The Army Operational Shooting Competition involves complex shoots, both as individuals and as teams, testing our soldiers’ advanced marksmanship abilities.
