RGR 30th Birthday was celebrated In Kathmandu
The Royal Gurkha Rifles 30th birthday was celebrated in Kathmandu on the 1st of July 2024. 70 members the Regimental Association Nepal, and 20 members of British Gurkhas Nepal (BGN), came together to mark the occasion on the 1st of July 2024 at Kathmandu Mess, BGN.
Conversations centred on many interesting stories of service with lots of fond memories were exchanged amongst the retired and serving Riflemen. The main highlight of the event was welcoming the new Commander BGN, Colonel Dan Rex and farewell to Colonel Paul Smith. The cake cutting ceremony was conducted using a 32-inch Sirupate khukuri.
