British Gurkhas Nepal say Goodbye to Long Serving Staff

It was a memorable moment as British Gurkhas Nepal (BGN) said goodbye to seven retiring long service members civilian members of staff. Together they share an outstanding 241 years of service with a few dating back to the very first days of BGN’s operation in Nepal.

Mr Sisir Kumar Panday, HR Head BGN led the farewell programme with Major Gyanbahadur Dhenga, Gurkha Major BGN and Miss Francesca Hately, Deputy Civil Secretary BGN congratulating the staff members and their wives amidst a gathering of BGN’s military and civilian staff.

On a note of commendation, Mr Panday said that the now vacant positions can be replaced but the persons who gave their devoted services can never be.

BGN congratulates Mr Nir Bahadur Gurung (42 years of service), Mr Ram Sharan Bhandari Chhetri (40 years of service), Mr Rajesh Pode (38 years of service), Mr Sachin Subba (38 years of service), Mr Chakra Bahadur Nepali (34 years of service), Mr Madhukar Lama (32 years of service) and Mrs Roji Gurung (16 years of service).
