Exercise CAMBRIAN PATROL 2023 took place in October. Teams from across the British Army along with many international teams took part. The Exercise is the premier patrolling event of the British Army which is held in Wales and hosted by Headquarters 160th (Welsh) Brigade. The teams from the Brigade of Gurkhas did extremely well, securing eleven Gold medals, 1 Silver medal and one Bronze medal.

The Brigade Training Team assisted with the training for a number of other Army teams, all of which secured medals from the Exercise. Gurkha Wing (Mandalay) trained a team from the Irish Defence Force wo went on to secure a Gold medal, and Gurkha Company (Sittang) trained a team from West Point (US Army) who also secured a Silver medal.

A team from the Nepali Army also secured a Silver Medal.
