The 10 Queen’s Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment, Regimental Training Wing, delivered the Lance Corporal (LCpl) Army Leadership Development Programme course from 10th to 22nd November 2024. 32 students attended the course from across the wider Army, achieving a 100% pass rate.

Week one focused on classroom-based lessons covering leadership and command qualities for junior non-commissioned officers (JNCOs), including command tasks and presentations. Week two occurred at the Longmoor Training Area for the Basic Close Combat Skills phase. Despite challenging weather conditions, students persevered through day and night navigation, battle lessons, and section attacks, culminating in a platoon ambush and deliberate attack on the final day. The course was both educational and demanding.

  • Top Student – LCpl Sandesh Shrestha
  • Most Improved Soldier – LCpl Hamilton
  • LCpl Samyog Limbu (Field Soldier) and LCpl Moktan (Soldier’s Soldier) received accolades for their exceptional performance.
