The First Battalion, The Royal Gurkha Rifles (1 RGR) Assault Pioneers and the Pipes and Drums undertook a defence engagement tour throughout Southeast Asia, which included visits to the Philippines, Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Malaysia.
This deployment formed part of a series of Remembrance Parades aimed at honouring the service and sacrifices of both past and present military personnel. Through these ceremonies, 1 RGR enhanced relationships with regional allies, celebrated a shared history, and fortified bonds of cooperation and mutual respect.
