Members of British Forces Brunei (BFB) met His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei and other members of the Brunei Royal Family, during the Sovereign’s 78th birthday celebration held in Kuala Belait, Brunei. His Majesty was welcomed by Lieutenant Colonel John Jeffcoat (Commanding Officer, The First Battalion, The Royal Gurkha Rifles (1 RGR) and Commander BFB), Major Jiwan Pun (Gurkha Major 1 RGR / BFB), along with BFB service personnel and their families, with the traditional RGR Mala and a birthday cake.
The monarch was graciously accompanied by His Royal Highness the Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, His Royal Highness Prince Abdul Malik, His Royal Highness Prince Abdul Mateen, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah, and His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah.
